Staying Safe While You Wait

If you are stuck somewhere unfamiliar, wait in a well-lit spot near the car and keep your phone charged. If anything feels unsafe, it is fine to wait in a nearby store or call the police non-emergency line as well.

If a Child or Pet Is Inside

On a hot or very cold day a closed car becomes dangerous quickly. Call 911 first if a child or animal is in distress, then call us. Tell our dispatcher right away so the call goes to the front of the line.

What to Have Ready

• The exact location, including a landmark or parking lot row
• The year, make and model of the vehicle
• Your ID; we will ask to see the registration once the door is open
